Weather in Finestrat, Alicante

Forget your coat

This part of the Costa Blanca has a similar climate to California, South Africa and Southern Australia. Average temperatures here range from 25ºC in August to 12ºC in January, equivalent to spring weather at home.

Do remember to use a good sunscreen, especially if you’re very fair skinned. A tan is lovely but the lobster look is not! More importantly, sunburn increases the risks of skin cancer and premature ageing.

However, sunbathing sensibly is actually thought to reduce the risks of some cancers and provides the body with Vitamin D, essential for a healthy immune system.

With 320 days of sunshine, you can be confident of bright days in Finestrat that will benefit your health all year round.

Wondering what to pack?

For summer, you’ll always need less than you think, especially as you’ll be spending lots of time on the beach.

During winter you may need a jumper and jacket, but leave your heavy coat in England. If you forget anything, nearby Benidorm has fantastic clothing stores, and they’re cheaper than home too.

If you decide to live here, maybe you’ll end up missing the rain? Then again, perhaps not. Find out more about Finestrat property here.
